TWENTY ONE PILOTS - GUNS FOR HANDS Guns for Hands by Twenty One Pilots is shown to present elements of all three types of music videos: Performance, Narrative and Conceptual. You Oughta Know - Alanis Morissette This music video is shown to include elements of all three types of music video: performance , narrative and conceptual, and seems to fit the pop/rock genre. The combination of all three types of music video keep the audience engaged with the video, leaving them to want to know what happens next in the song. Elements of performance are shown through the main artist lip-syncing as well as performing with a band towards the end of the video; the narrative elements express the artist's heartbreak through the use of her acting, reinforced by the lyrics; due to there being a common theme of love and relationships throughout this song, the chorus provides a catchy beat and repeatability for the audience. The heartbreak she experiences could also be referenced in the different shots, e.g. Alanis walking alone over mountains in the distance. Mouse Rat CD Cover and Poster

Mouse Rat Digipak When making the CD cover for Mouse Rat, a rock band, I tried to get inspiration from other artists in the rock genre to pick out similar elements to use in my rendition of their CD and Album cover. Primarily, I found that artists such as Nirvana, AC/DC and Catfish and the Bottlemen used black and white on their album covers, using bold white text that would stand out from the dark background.  incorporated this idea into both my CD cover and poster, as I decided to use bold white fonts on the front which are shown to stand out from the background which is darker, and shows two people behind looking in the direction of the camera. The very large font on the front is used to immediately show the audience who the artist is, creating a brand so they can become more easily recognisable.
